Well, however you have chosen or been obliged to spend it, I hope you have had a good Who Day. And if you're giving thanks on the other side of the pond...well, 60 years of Doctor Who is something to be thankful for, I suppose. :D
I'm just about to watch the new colourised version of The Daleks on BBC4, and then An Adventure in Space and Time I suppose afterwards. It barely seems like yesterday since the 50th, to be honest.
Anyway, have a good one...!

Date: 2023-11-23 11:16 pm (UTC)I'm not sure about The Daleks in Colour - I think I prefer the long-winded b&w version tbh (I realise this in no way comes as a surprise!) It was so pared down it seemed almost like a fanvid in parts (with funky music added in some of the actiony bits..!). Could have done with being 90 minutes instead of 75 maybe. But the original Team TARDIS are great in any form, so...
I'm glad I re-watched An Adventure in Space and Time, though. I feel it's something people have had a lot of quibbles about over the years, and I realise it probably isn't strictly-speaking an accurate depiction of most of the events or people it portrays...but it's funny and emotional and full of shameless nostalgia and fanservice. It hit the spot tonight, anyway. And I was genuinely surprised (in a good way, I think) by one small (or not so small) change they made to it in honour of the 60th. I will say no more.
Anyway I hope you too have had a good one. :)

Date: 2023-11-24 09:59 am (UTC)I was thinking of rewatching it at some point, because it's been a while (10 years I suppose!!), and clearly now I'll have to, lol.
The Daleks seems an odd choice - like, not one that would benefit from colourisation in any case, unlike, say, a historical where we've seen some of the amazing colour contuinity & publicity stills, or even just anything that has Anneke Wills, 60s fashion icon in! You're not alone. I chanced on another New Who YouTUbe reactor watching some classic Who here and there lately, and they put a note on their community that they saw a bit of the Daleks and they think they're going to react to the original, even though they don't even want to watch b&w TV that's longer than 4 episodes, so clearly it's not just an old fogey's response.
I'll probably have to look at a bit at some point, though, just out of curiosity!
