Fic: Dancing

Well, I blame community.livejournal.com/calufrax/ for stoking up my innate Four/Romana shippiness with their reckless and inflammatory recommendations of various fine examples of said ship during the course of the past week. I also have had this idea about Four/Romana "dancing" together (either literally or in the Stephen Moffat sense) for some time now, from where I came by it I could not say. So, even though I have WIPs in progress, I wrote this instead. It maybe gets a bit racy, but rest assured I bottled out when it came to portraying, er...actual physical relations. Feedback etc. always welcome. As always, while it would certainly be nice and possibly financially rewarding were I to own Doctor Who and its associated properties, alas I do not; they very definitely belong to the BBC:

Yeah, poor Adric; you can sort of tell when I'm none-too-confident writing a particular character, because I start making them broader and a bit exaggerated, and I'm maybe a bit guilty of that with Adric. I do think the Four and Romana and K-9 and Adric thing worked well for the couple of stories it lasted, as did just Four and Adric together in Keeper of Traken, but I think you're right; it wasn't as good with Five.

Yeah, I thought 4, Romana, K-9 and Adric worked together good, too. Too bad it was so short!

Poor doomed Varsh, and poor, doomed Adric. I'm pretty sure I won't be watching "Earthshock" as a story again, only to hear the commentary at some time.

I think it's pretty easy to tell when an author is bashing Adric, and I don't like it. Even when I don't like a character, I'm not into bashing the character although, admittedly, I'm sure I've read one or two that bash Gwen Cooper, one of them being pretty funny and the other, I actually could buy into her character being selfish, etc. But I do try to avoid it, so I'm glad you didn't bash Adric, and I'm glad that, so far, you haven't bashed Captain Jack.

Off to read "Last Man Standing" after this.

Btw, feel free to read my diatribe about The Episode That Never Was (too bad there was never a follow-up to "The Sound of Drums" :p and we were left hanging), my fluffy Captain Jack and Sarah Jane fic and I'm sure I have an EQ fic, over at my lj. Feel free to comment, if you want.

Character-bashing, while not the thing you really want to see, can be quite amusing sometimes... :)
