My DVD of The War Games arrived in the post this morning - excellent! *rubs hands with glee* I might post some episode reviews of it when I have a chance to watch it, just for laughs.

Was somewhat amused, watching the tennis on the telly last night (it was Andy Murray's more-likeable-but-less-talented older brother getting beaten in the Wimbledon mixed doubles semi final), to see old Tennant in the crowd. Don't know why I was amused, because he has as much right to go to the tennis as anybody else, but I always am when I see anything even remotely Who-related in another contest.

Still too hot, though... :(

I didn't think it was out yet! Is it due Mon or have you some how got a very early release?

And do review, I'd be interested to hear what the extras are like.

Yeah, I think it does come out on Monday, but I pre-ordered mine ages ago, when I first found out it was coming out (I am quite a bit of a Two fan on the quiet, even if I don't go on about him as much as Seven), so maybe they ship those ones early. I'll let you know about the extras and things when I peruse them. I said I might do review"s" in the plural, because I remember how _long_ this one is; I don't know if I'm up to watching it all in one sitting any more! XD

Heh. Yes, I don't think I've ever watched it in one sitting! (Although the very first time I watched it all on the same day).

Patrick Troughton is amazing. Probably my second-favourite Doctor. :-)

Oh, yeah, he's up there; such a good actor, definitely one of the best to have played the Doctor, and also in the other work he did before and after.

Ah, yeah, the 60s, when Who stories were in black and white, and went on FOREVER... ;D

I think it's amusing to see habited and cloistered nuns out for an evening of taco-eating. It's probably the same type of mind-disconnect that leads to the amusement.

Well, that _does_ sound amusing... XD

I'm easily entertained!

For instance, when the War Chief appears in the War Games, I always give him a little cheer because he used to be on a BBC kid's show called Rentaghost that I used to watch as a weeun...

That seems like an appropriate thing to do.

I just ordered The Dalek Invasion of Earth (The DVD, I'm not powerful enough to order the Daleks to invade anything). I want my DVDs chronological order because I'm OCD like that.

Well, I was about to say; "you ordered WHAT?! How do you sleep at night??", but then realised what you were talking about. XD I want some more One DVDs, actually; I seem to have mostly Seven, Four and Five, and I'm not even that big a fan of Five. I only get a new one every so often, though, because they are expensive (although I know that with Doctor Who DVDs, you're really paying for the extras, which are kind of worth it).
